Humbug.

Ah, it’s that time of year again. Just as the pumpkins and grotesque corpses are being removed from people’s doorsteps, they are replaced by lights, snowflakes and snowmen. This, to me, is far too early. I mean, it’s not Thanksgiving yet, and people already have random stuff all over the place. It’s creepy to see that jump from the macabre to the festive – many times all in one day.

The same thing happens to movies. I just watched the new Christmas Carol today, and I found it…. Okay. It was good, but Disney seems to love their 3D now, although the showing I went to didn’t have it. Anyway, they took the CGI to new heights and levels, making a world that is altogether completely and totally unrealistic. I mean, Scrooge has this HUGE chin that does nothing but distract from what is going on. Also! His facial texture’s resolution is hideously low. I found that the ghost of Marley was terrible as well. HE looked like he came straight out of a video game – the shading was all wrong and his movements were horribly jerky.

Other than this, the completely stupid scenes attempting to be “funny” or something, and the idiotic mini-Scrooge scene, the movie was good. It stayed faithful to the book in many ways, and was a great spectacle of computer generated awesomesauce. If only Disney could stop trying to change stories to make them more “kid-friendly” or something (which it wasn’t – it was actually quite creepy. I’d NEVER let my 11-year-old brother watch it!).

So, there we go.

Prince of Persia!!!

This looks intense

What do YOU think? I think it looks pretty dang sweet, but that stupid girl has so much gratuitously cheesy dialog, I just don’t know. This movie WILL be awesome most likely, but the cheesiness may be too much. Still, it sticks fairly close to the video game (from what we’ve seen so far) and is totally sweet.

Stargate Universe – Meh.

Most Sci-fi shows are about aliens, people running around shooting stuff, and the threat of the universe exploding or something like that. Stargate: Universe is kinda like that, only less shooting and more soap opera elements. It’s a good show, don’t get me wrong, but I feel like it’s WAAAY too slow and dramatic.

“Oh noes! Is Rush telling the TRUTH? Are we all doomed??! Can we get back home?”

I find that everybody has been quite idiotic at this point, and I can’t help thinking that everything they’ve done so far has ALREADY made its way into every other Science Fiction show.

I myself really like Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, which were pretty campy themselves, but SGU tries its best to be serious and very non-campy, but fails.

So far, SGU is rather mediocre, but we shall see how this goes.

Tens Years Behind

Just recently, on the 22nd of this month, I got to watch the Matrix… for the FIRST TIME. Bleh. AWESOME MOVIE, I just wish I would have watched it earlier!

So… what else has been on the agenda lately? All kinds of things. Vile things. Evil things. Things that would send chills up your spine…..

Not much. Other than being INCREDIBLY AWESOME. As usual. Man, I am really wishing more people visited this site. Actually, probably not, for I don’t really ever have anything to say, except for the fact that I’m planning on making another movie with my brothers! Yes! The creator of such wondrous and fantastic films such as Fighting Stuff, The Dog, A random HUD TEST MOVIE and some other random crap that isn’t awesome at all is going to make another masterly masterwork of cinemagic wonder!

Dunno what it’s going to be called, but I’m hoping to film something random this Sunday.

Now, for the aformentioned Fighting Stuff! Me and Matt made this movie like, two years ago. Still epic, though.

This post brought to you by: teh interwebz

Why is it that every stinking week that Psych continues to be so AWESOME? Why is it that it is currently on its fourth season and is STILL GOOD? Why is it that the ONE SHOW that came on during the writer’s strike is STILL one of the most popular on TV?!

It’s just good. The latest one was pretty intense (it had Gus and some dudes in an acapella quartet). I loved it.

SO! Other shows are good as well. Stargate: Universe is getting off to a pretty good start (could’ve left out a scene of questionable content. Here’s hoping the rest of the episodes aren’t the same way or worse….)

ALSO!! My voice has been missing for a week. Had this semi-awful cold, and afterwards my voice just kind of left. Really looking forward to being able to sing again. It’s just like a cold to ruin awesome 4-player Beatles: Rock Band. Just as we got a new guitar, my voice was GONE. So no singing, cause everybody else here was sick as well.

IN OTHER NEWS!!! The Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta is really epic. I absolutely love it.

NEWS BULLETIN!!!! I need a haircut. Quite badly, I think.

Chilli

It’s starting to get cold outside. I quite enjoy the cold. This is mostly because once it starts getting cold, my birthday is not far off. :P

So. Not much going on lately other than the previously mention uncompleted resurrection of Cripple Creek CE. I HAVE been doing school and stuff. I also played some Beatles: Rock Band on Sunday night. Dang, that game is awesome. Pretty much the only reason we have it is because RB2 is a little… meh? The song list is full of crappy songs or ones with questionable lyrics. Beatles? Not at all.

So what else has happened, since evidently I did not write about the total awesome that is Beatles: Rock Band until now even though we bought it the day after it came out (which was over two weeks ago)?

Well, we watched both of the Hellboy movies for the first time (which are awesome. In fact, the first one is currently a favorite of mine), watched X-Men Origins again, ate food, and did some awesome stuff.

And I found this picture.

Cripple Creek CE: The Awakening

Some people want to start our clan back up! This should be pretty awesome, since people don’t have quite as much to do (other than school… I think everybody IN CCCE is currently going to college) as during the summertime. It was rather annoying not being able to hop online and hang out wit’ da boyz on Urban Terror, but hopefully this will change soon.

If you aren’t a member of CCCE, then be one! We’ve got like 5 people who actually play, so it’s a little lonely sometimes.

Go to www.cripplecreekce.com for the awesome!

And, in other news, I just beat Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune for the first time. A little late to be playing it, but it was intense. Can’t wait for numbah 2!

Trebuchets.

In olden times, ancient times, and a long time ago, there were things called, “Trebuchets.” They were these really awesome and cool catapult things that would throw rocks at people. It was awesome. Like in the Lord of the Rings they had them in Minas Tirith, and they threw rocks at the orcs and stuff. It was just really cool.

Then there was the “tank,” which quickly replaced the trebuchet as siege weapon of choice because the trebuchet just kind of disappeared after people made cannons. Well, cannons kind of came first. Then guns replaced arrows and all that.

Cannons are awesome. People stuff gunpowder in them and put big metal balls inside them, then blow up the gunpowder, sending the ball hurtling through the air towards its target. How cool is that!

Cool. Cool is cool. I like cool stuff. Pepsi is good when it’s cool. I’m pretty cool. I think I left the air conditioner on too long. That’s probably why.

Why? Why do we exist?! What is the meaning of life?

Pies. And exploring the universe.

Maybe even eating said pies while exploring the universe.

Oh yeah. They’re probably apple pies too. That would be really awesome.

Ooooh! Apples are the best fruit ever. I had this apple yesterday that was pretty gross though. I think they put it in a freezer  too long.

Freezers are cool. I’ve had a Pepsi explode in a freezer before.

Explosions are awesome!

Cannons use an explosion to go through the air.

Trebuchets make rocks fly through the air. That’s cool. It was a long time ago.

Like, in ancient times.

And stuff.

Back again

Sorry for not updating, but I’ve been testing out this new cryogenic stasis chamber. It malfunctioned and woke me up too soon, so I felt obliged to update my blog.

But really, I should update this thing more often. I’ve been making stuff and doing things. Some of these stuff and things have been two different projects. One of said projects is already done. This project was the first episode of the epic awesomeness that is Ninja Coolmoves (my little brother’s crime fighting alter-ego) which was pretty much just an awesome test with my new camcorder. I’ve already begun working on the second episode which should be done some time soon. The other project is, of course, the Epic Adventures of Stalker and Bubbles. We’ve already finished over half of the movie (which is about 5 minutes) and two scenes still have to be filmed, so it’s going quite well.

You have been informed.

Before I go, here is a picture of my stasis chamber. It looks to be of Ancient design, but I’m still trying to get it to accept a link to our technology. Right now, “250 years” usually outputs to about 10 hours.

Writing Scripts!

Yay! Matthew and I just finished writing the script for the first episode our new (and first ever) web series called The Epic Adventures of Stalker and Bubbles. It’s a story about these two dudes who fight and stuff then go and blow things up. I’m Bubbles. Matt’s Stalker. Yeah. Bubbles was inspired by a crazy name my second cousin gave me a few months ago.

Filming shall begin on Sunday if the weather’s good. We will be filming in a nice high spot with some rocks. I shall be quite happy to satisfy my urge to stand atop said rocks.

Hopefully the movie shall be epic enough to post up here. The unfortunate thing is that I JUST ordered the Canon HV30, but I’m stuck right now with my little DV camcorder I got four years ago. So it’s standard definition for this episode, but all episodes after it (if they get made) will be in HD. W00t for super huge resolutions that are bigger than my screen!

Oh, and I got a haircut. My fedora was having a hard time fitting on that mop of mine. :P

Haircut!

Haircut!

Me and stuff

I'm just this guy, you know. I make movies sometimes and I do some stuff. Most of said stuff is usually awesome.
